POSTPONED UNTIL FALL Join Us Saturday, July 18, 9:00 AM For “Earth Day in July”
Given the current minimal litter conditions along the Westerly Creek, we have elected to postpone this clean up to fall if necessary. We appreciate everyone’s help in picking up trash and litter as they walk along the trails by the creek and the Great Lawn. If you see trash please pick it up and dispose of it properly, helping to keep Lowry beautiful
Plans to launch the LUN Neighborhood Sustainability project were originally set to correspond with the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day in April, but that event had to be postponed.
So, LUN is organizing a Social Distancing clean-up day on July 18, on the Great Lawn and beyond. LUN wants you to choose an area in your part of Lowry that needs some spiffing up. Let us know where and we’ll help you with bags or rakes. Or if you are looking for a team, we will help. You can of course do clean-up anytime and often, but LUN is setting aside a Saturday in July for this project.
Get outside with your neighbors, social distance, enjoy a summer morning, bring the kids, and pitch in together to beautify our neighborhood. For more information or to identify an area of concern contact email@example.com. And remember, clean-up day can be every day. Whenever you take a walk, bring along a bag, and pick up litter.
We look forward to seeing you out and about in the ‘hood on July 18.
